Farm fresh and local returns with seasonal campus market
For 35 years the Metro Denver Farmers Market has brought fresh fruits and vegetables from Colorado farms to metro communities and families. And for the second year in a row the market returns to the Anschutz Medical Campus, bringing fresh and local foods back to the campus.
With support from the faculty-student group BRANCH4health, the farmer’s market returns to the medical campus June through October 30. Located on the north end of campus, near Fitzsimons 21, the seasonal market will run each Tuesday from 10 am – 3 pm. With a variety of vendors to choose from, campus faculty, staff, students and visitors can find Colorado grown produce, visit with locally owned small businesses, and learn more about improving lifestyles through healthy eating options.
Visit Branch4Health for more information, then visit the school’s Facebook page for photos from the July 10 market.
