Overview of 28th Annual Epidemiologic Research Exchange

Last Friday, students, faculty and community partners attended the 28th Annual Epidemiologic Research Exchange. Once again, the exchange was a successful event thanks to the Program Committee, a poignant Keynote Speaker Spencer Beach, author of “In Case of Fire,” who candidly spoke about the role of the worker in the safety system in light of his own traumatic experiences with being severely burned in a flash fire, and the individuals who participated in the oral and poster presentations.

Michael Anthony Capello received the student award for his abstract submission: Assessing Bacteriological Contamination in Public Swimming Facilities within a Colorado Metropolitan Community. Exchange Committee Chair Jan Lowery, PhD, confirmed that the Epidemiologic Research Exchange will annually fall on the Friday of National Public Health Week (NPHW).
